Anyway, there's an underground campaign on now. What you can do: first, read this and this. Then, put "(HU JIA,FREE!)" behind your MSN (or GTalk, etc.) nickname, and sign the open petition: send your real name (aliases may be included in brackets), your location and your occupation to both forhujia(@)gmail.com and forhujia2008(@)gmail.com, and then spread the message on to ten of your friends. As of posting, I've only passed it on to one friend, so that possibly makes you #2. China is not East Germany, so be brave and take a poke at the badasses left in the system. Chinese text detailing the action and Zeng Jinyan's home address in Beijing below:

曾金燕家地址:
北京通州区东果园BOBO自由城76号楼5单元542号
*In haste I misread this paragraph; the scuffling came from behind the door of lawyer Gao Zhi$heng's home, not Zeng's, sorry about that. That said, the big question these days is: what's happening to Zeng and her baby daughter, who as far as anyone on the internet knows, are still under house arrest. One blogger has already sent a parcel with some baby formula to Zeng's home, wondering if it will even arrive.
